Maple syrup makes bacon taste even better!  Who would’ve thought that you can improve on bacon, but it’s true.  A friend turned me on to baking Applewood smoked bacon in the oven with maple syrup (or was it honey?).  Does it matter?  Just as many things are better infused, Applewood smoked bacon is best infused with Maple syrup.

Simply preheat the oven to 400 deg. F and lay out the bacon on a cooking wrack over a baking sheet.  Drizzle maple syrup on top and reapply when flipping.

A rack is desired, because the sugar will burn if you leave the bacon in the oven though crispy is always good!
